Are the films rated?

The Festivals’ Selection Committee has viewed all the films and rated accordingly as:

F  for Family, GA for General Audience, and M for Mature.

 

 

Do I bring my printed e-Ticket to the event?

YES AND NO! Let us explain...

E-Tickets will only be accepted for Individual Film Tickets.


FOR OTHER TICKET PURCHASES:

E-Tickets WILL NOT be accepted for The Opening Night and Celebration Party, The Silent Film Screening, or The Awards Night and After Party.

 

Passes/Tickets for The Opening Night and Celebration Party, The Silent Film Screening, or The Awards Night and After Party can be picked up at our event Box Office, located in the lobby of the Hotel Julien Dubuque, at 200 Main Street.

 

 

How do I buy tickets?

The Julien International Film Festival is much more than just movies. Either way, your visit will sure to be packed with much excitement!

 

 

What makes Festival screenings unique?

The director, cast, and crew are often on hand for a Q & A after the screenings.
 
You have an opportunity to see great Independent films that you may never have had a chance to see. You may even be lucky enough to see the next big hit before its official release. The venues are fun, quaint and intimate. What a great way to enjoy Independent film making at its finest.

 

By the way, in 2013, just its 3rd year, JDIFF was voted as one of the Top 25 Coolest Film Festivals in the World by MovieMaker Magazine.

 

 

Where can I park when we arrive?

 

FIVE FLAGS PARKING RAMP - 100 West 4th Street:

Free Parking! This ramp is located on 4th Street between Main and Iowa Streets.

 

IOWA STREET PARKING RAMP – 701 Iowa Street:

Daily fees apply at $2.00 for the first hour and $0.50 per hour thereafter with a maximum of $8 per day. Automated cashier equipment is available when the cashier is not present. Visa, Mastercard, and Discover are accepted in addition to cash. This ramp is located on Iowa Street between 6th and 8th Streets.

Where is Dubuque?

Dubuque, the tenth-largest city in the state of Iowa is located along the Mississippi River and lies in the junction of these states: Iowa, Illinois, and Wisconsin, a region locally known as the Tri-State Area. It serves as the main commercial, industrial, educational, and cultural center for the area.
